Golden Retrievers as a breed are prone to a number of hereditary disorders as well as disorders of unknown cause but that appear in sufficient numbers to warrant discussion and awareness by the public. This list is not intended to scare you. Simply to make you aware of problems known to exist in the breed so that you can make an educated decision in choosing a golden.
